The CategorizeImages function displays the attributes of the single "class" Panel of the "category" Panel. The category Panel is is unlike any other category and may have only one class which must be called Panel. This poor choice of names allows for some internal program efficiency, but causes other problems. It will likely be fixed sometime in the future.

Please make your suggested changes below. Minor edits which enhance the current definition should be made directly to the text, but major changes or revisions should be made per the instructions in the Proposed Changes heading below.

Panel Classes

Panel

By definition, all rock art is located on a panel and one or more panels make up a cluster. A cluster is defined to be a group of nearby panels which may have rock art elements related to each other. A boulder is usually one cluster, but need not be. The attributes of Panel currently describe both the type of cluster and the condition of the panel. Other than documenting the condition of the panel at the time of recording, panel attributes are of limited use in the DRA application. See PanelAttributes.

Proposed Changes

If you have suggestions which add, delete, combine attributes or change the word used to define a class, then please copy the current class definition above, including the Panel Classes heading to the end of this page and edit your copy. If you wish to make a comment below your improved version (or someone else's improved version), add a horizontal rule and then your comment.

Minor changes in agreement with the original author's proposed changes should be made directly to the text, competing versions should be documented as complete revised copies including the heading.

All documentation should be written for the target audience of volunteer rock art recorders.
