Color Layers

Objective

The Color Layers sub-function displays any image or element in four different color scales in a popup window.

Entry Point

The Color Layers sub-function can be started by clicking on the RGB hyperlink within the caption area of most image and element displays.

Processing

A popup window will open displaying the image or element in full-color and the red, green and blue layers in grayscale. In some instances, the grayscale images created from the color layers will show a rock art element with greater contrast than the full-color counterpart.

Clicking on the full-color or any of the grayscale images or elements will open a new window with the ShowJumboImages sub-function displaying the image in jumbo size. Zooming in on the jumbo image and subsequent zoom outs will maintain the color selection.
