Site Etiquette
If you spot a minor spelling error, grammar error, poor choice of words, etc. on one of these wiki pages, just fix it. If a page has a list of three points supporting a conclusion but omits an important fourth point, just add the fourth point to the existing text. If the topic is incomplete and you need to add expand it by adding several paragraphs, do it.
Whenever possible, changes should be made in a manner that results in a completed document. There is no need to highlight your change for for someone else to review -- the wiki software automatically provides a log of who changed what and when. Save the page the way you think it should have been written.
If you disagree with an opinion, add your personal view and an explanation of your reasoning. If you can add your view as an alternative and maintain the readability of the document, do so. Otherwise, counter-points are best made at the end of the page.
Expressing differences of opinion is an important step toward improving and achieving consensus on the topic in question. However, doing so puts the page into a state of incompleteness. In order to easily identify all the pages that need more work, the convention used in this wiki is to flag a comment by starting it with two consecutive @ characters. That way all pages needing more attention can be easily found through the use of the wiki search function.
There are a few pages in this wiki that require special consideration. These are the pages under DraAttributes that contain the definitions of panel and rock art attributes. Because these pages are occasionally processed by computer programs, all proposed additions and deletions must be made at the bottom of the page. Just follow the instructions on each page when you wish to propose an update.
There are a few pages that may be updated only by users with administrative IDs. These pages include the system help pages and the DigitalRockArt home page.
