Rock Art Inventory Creation
The rock art inventory DVDs are created on the test system. Thousands of HTML and images files are created. For a full DVD, the process runs about an hour or less.
First steps require copying over the current data to the test system:
- Dump the DRA SQL tables
- Copy SQL dump using Filezilla
- Load the SQL dump
- Sync the /web/pix image files using Unison
- Sync the wiki data using Unison
Run the processes to create the DVD:
- Run /drawiki/moindumpall.bat
Run HtmlPdfPrep.py
- Modify Inventory.py output (CD_folder), input (folders), and other options as desired
- Run Inventory
- Create or modify xx.book config file for HtmlDOC
- Run HtmlDOC
Copy PDF file created by !HtmlDOC to _SurveyReports folder, rename to _SurveyReports.pdf
- Burn DVDs
- Create and apply DVD labels and holder covers
Special processing sometimes used:
- Omit Rock Art Inventory reference to PDF before processing
- Omit copyright notice at end of _pdf.html before creating PDF
If the output is too large for a DVD, consider:
- Dual layer DVDs
- Split across 2 or more DVDs
- Omit captioned images
- Omit original images (zoom function will not be available)
- Omit pdf reports
- Make images smaller or use lessor quality
- Use a jump drive with a capacity large enough to hold all data
